Even ink-based wide-format printers have a recommended average monthly print volume. The trick is to try to find where it's posted. As with the toner-based wide format, most brochures and websites will not publish this information. For inkjet, I would use the same scenario, multiply the monthly average print volume by 36 months. I use it for 36 months because inkjet printers have a consumable called a printhead. In most cases, printheads are not covered by maintenance agreements. Some printheads are very expensive and some are not because expensive printheads last longer than cheap ones.
