Quieter Operation: This mini mill belt drive conversion kit provides an easy-to-install alternative to the noisy and fragile factory-installed gears that drive the spindle on the mini mill.

Spindle Speed: Change speeds without any tools. Simply remove the guard, loosen the lever locks and move the belt from one pair of pulleys to the other. Low speed range is 0-1700 RPM. High speed range is 0-4300 RPM.

Easy installation: This conversion kit is made for easy hassle free installation. The installation is bolt-on and takes approximately 20 minutes.

Uses: It is the perfect size for mini lathes. The tool holders have been designed specifically to work on the mini lathes and other lathes that have limited distance from the top of the compound to the center of the lathe. This tool post mounts with an M10 stud, which is included.

Working parts: All working parts are hardened and ground steel. It is completely sealed for maintenance-free operation.

Milling Vise: Precision 4" Kurt-style milling vice. Top, gib, jaws, bottom of vise bed and all plate mounting surfaces are ground. The angle tight positive lock style jaws are interchangeable with industry standard machine vises, are hardened and ground, and can be mounted on either end of the fixed and movable jaw supports for a wide range of clamping distances.

Thin Parallels: Set of ten pairs, 1/8" thick x 4" long, in fitted case. Made of high-grade alloy steel hardened to 52-58 RC, parallel within 0.0002" on top and bottom. Parallel heights: 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1-1/8", 1-1/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/2", and 1-5/8" (pairs matched within 0.0004").

Tips: This mill has a solid column. While a tilting column seems to be a feature, they are easily knocked out of tram and less rigid. While it is harder to tram in the X-axis because you must use shims, it is not as easy to knock it out of tram. The solid column has thicker walls than the tilting column, and a stiffer joint where it joins the base, so the column is significantly more rigid than the tilting column. That is why all mills from LittleMachineShop.com are solid column.
